After three top 5 singles Fergie finally gets her first number one. Big girls don’t cry dethrones Umbrella’s four weeks run. Fergie’s song is currently at number one in the United World Chart and number two in the US.

Our previous number one Rhianna ft. Jay-Z’s Umbrella is at No. 2. Daddy Yankee ft. Fergie’s impacto holds No. 3 for a third week. At No.4 Shakira’s las de la intuicion becomes her twelfth consecutive top 5 in chart history.

Rock band Linkin Park’s what I’ve done slides 2 to 5. While Maroon5’s makes me wonder remains at No. 6 in its sixteenth week on the chart. After one week in the top 5 Fergie’s Glamorous has been push out at No. 7.

Latin American number one song Dimelo/ do you know? (the ping pong song) by Enrique Iglesias jumps two positions landing at No. 8. There are two new songs in the top tier. Plain White T’s hey there Delilah at No. 9 and Nelly Furtado’s all good things (come to an end) at No.10.

UMBRELLA DOMAINS FOR A FOURTH

Rhianna is atop for a fourth consecutive week. Even though she lost the top spot in United World Chart, the song manages to stays strong in the top 40 because its success in Latin American charts in which is currently at No. 3.

Rock Band Linkin Park’s What I’ve done and Daddy Yankee ft. Fergie’s Impacto remains in the same position at No.2 and No.3 respectively. Fergie’s Glamorous is up two positions at No. 4.

Fergie’s Big girls don’t cry ascends three positions at No. 5. This week Fergie made history because she is the only artist to have three singles in the top 5 at the same time. Maroon5’s makes me wonder slides 5 to 6. While Avril Lavigne's girlfriend is down three slots at No. 7.

El memorable video fue dirigido por Mary Lambert. Las locaciones fueron Venecia y New York. En el video se muestra a Madonna bailando en una góndola y corriendo en un vestido de novia.

Like a Virgin ocupó el puesto número cuatro en la lista de la 100 Mejores Canciones Pop realizada por la revista Rolling Stones y la cadena de televisión MTV.

Madonna interpreto Like a Virgin en la primera entrega de los premios MTV en 1984. A sus 23 años la cantante y compositora Britanica Amy Winehouse a cantante ha generado gran conmoción tras el lanzamiento de su segundo álbum Back to Black. Disco que logro ser el numero uno en ventas en el Reino Unido y alcanzo cuadruple disco de platino por mas 1 millon copias.

Su incursión al mercado norteamericano se hizo evidente cuando su disco debuto entre los diez mas vendidos y alcanzó disco de platino por 970 mil copias. Ademas su primer sencillo Rehab llego a los diez primeros de la Revista Billboard. La cancion que habla de su resistencia a entrar a una clinica de rehabilitación parece ser un reflejo de su vida privada.

Todo el éxito obtenido en los últimos años se ha visto rodeado por una serie de problemas personales. En setiembre del 2006 se publicó sobre su dramática perdida de peso. En octubre durante una entrvista ella admitió haber sufrido de trastornos alimenticios.
